" Heart Connection Yunnan Journey"友城 classroom project is implemented in Cambodia's Bampi Province

On December 26th, with the support of the Provincial Foreign Friends Association, the "Heart to Heart, Yunnan Journey" friendly city classroom project implemented by the Lincang Municipal People's Government Foreign Affairs Office was successfully launched at the Wenlan Ni Hong Sen Chay Wang Middle School in Bampi Province, Cambodia. The ceremony was attended by Vun Rong, Deputy Governor of Bampi Province, Cambodia, Leik Haub, principal of the school, representatives of the Chinese implementing unit, and others.

This project handed over 16 Lenovo brand computers to VRANICHA WATMAK High School, establishing a "友城 classroom", to contribute to the construction of educational informatization and to inject a people-oriented temperature into practical cooperation between friendly cities.

Deputy Governor Wen Rong, on behalf of the Bampot Provincial Government, extended sincere gratitude and stated that the project would effectively improve the teaching conditions of the Vannary Hun Sen Chay Wang High School, helping teachers and students to expand their knowledge acquisition channels and enhance their digital learning and research capabilities. He expressed the hope that the friendship between Cambodia and China would last forever and that cooperation in various fields would continue to deepen. Principal Leek Hap, on behalf of the school, accepted the equipment.

In November 2024, Lincang City and Bampot District, Cambodia officially established the relationship of international friendly cities, building a broad platform for practical cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, and education between the two places. The two sides will continue to adhere to the concept of openness, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation, and explore more practical measures in terms of teacher-student exchanges, and sharing of high-quality teaching resources, so that the fruits of friendly city cooperation can benefit the people of the two places more.
"Xin Tong Lian" is a "small but beautiful" people's livelihood public welfare project implemented by the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Foreign Friendship in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean region. From 2022 to 2025, a total of 19 projects were implemented in Cambodia, covering infrastructure, drinking water security, medical and health care, agricultural technology, poverty alleviation, ecological environment protection, people-to-people exchanges, and other fields. This has made a contribution to deepening traditional friendship between China and Cambodia, improving people's livelihood, and jointly building a community of destiny between China and Cambodia.
